St Mary’s has strong links in the community of Eling and the town of Totton. Generations have been married, baptised and have had funeral services at the church. Our visitors come with their cherished memories and leave with more.
- We support Eling Experience https://www.elingexperience.co.uk/ by facilitating joint visits to the Tide Mill and St Mary’s church, both of which have a history going back to the Domesday Book and beyond.
- At Christmas and Easter we welcome the children of Eling Infants School https://www.elinginfant.co.uk/ with Christingle, an Easter Bonnet Parade and an annual teaching assembly in the church We will soon be providing them with an exciting learning and fun experience in our Wild Churchyard.
- We are partners with the Eco Eling community group https://www.facebook.com/EcoEling. Volunteers are transforming the churchyard into a wildlife friendly area for learning and appreciation of the natural world.
